CFAS Communications - Beware of Fraudulent Web Pages and Emails

The CFAS Office would like to remind you to be careful when you receive emails that do not come from office@cfas.ca. In the past, companies have reached out to our membership, offering their assistance in booking accommodation or helping with registration for our Annual Meetings. Please note that CFAS does not have a partnership with any company trying to book hotels. We allow our members and attendees to book conference hotel rooms via a link on the CFAS website. All hotel bookings should be made directly by the hotel's website or over the phone with the hotel.

Please be aware that cfas.ca is our only official website, our Annual Meeting 2020 page (https://cfas.ca/cgi/page.cgi/2020_Annual_Meeting.html), and any pages linked directly to our Annual Meeting 2020 page (via the side menu to the right) are the only official websites. Any e-blasts with links for registration should direct you to the CFAS website, where you will see a link to take you to Eventbrite, our ticketing and registration partner. All e-blasts from CFAS will be from "CFAS Office" or "CFAS Executive Director".

All Annual Meeting registration must be completed via Eventbrite. We do not contract companies or individuals to assist with your registration needs. For Exhibitors, please only trust information and documents posted on the "Exhibit with CFAS 2020" page (coming soon) within our Annual Meeting 2020 page. In addition, please only trust contact numbers and emails provided in the CFAS Industry Package (coming soon) or by a CFAS staff member directly.

While CFAS and its Web Developers remain vigilant in tracking down and reporting any incorrect or fraudulent information to its members, exhibitors, and attendees, we request that should you suspect that you have been targeted by a fraudulent individual or company, or if you see anything suspicious that claims to be related to, affiliated with, or on behalf of CFAS, please report it to the CFAS immediately by emailing info@cfas.ca. We thank you for your help in keeping our members safe from fraud.

Should any fraudulent email addresses, phone numbers, or websites be brought to our attention, we will list them here to advise all members.
