Ms. Andria BesserMS, CGC, is a board-certified genetic counselor and Director of Reproductive Genetics at the NYU Langone Fertility Center. She obtained her Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and has spent the past 12 years specializing in assisted reproductive technologies and preconception genetics, in both the IVF clinic and PGT laboratory. Her research interests include preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic conditions and aneuploidy, and she has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications, committee opinions, and abstracts on these topics and is a frequent speaker at national and regional conferences. She is a past chair of the National Society of Genetic Counselors' ART/Infertility SIG and is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Genetic Counseling Professional Group and Patient Education Committee.

Dr. Joris R. VermeeschPh.D. Ir, is a staff member of the center for Human Genetics,  heading the Constitutional Cytogenetics unit of the Center of Human Genetics and director of the KU Leuven genomic core facility.  He has been pioneering novel genome wide genetic analyses methods for preimplantation, prenatal and postnatal diagnosis and more recently developed and translated novel methods for non-invasive prenatal and cancer screening. The laboratory has a special  focus on structural variation detection and studies the mechanisms underlying chromosomal instability and rearrangements. The group is partner of the SymbioSys, a KU Leuven center of excellence in computational biology. Prof. Vermeesch has published over 400 papers, H-index 62 and founder of a spin-off company Cartagenia.
