Position: Reproductive Endocrinologist (REI)
Status: Full Time

ReproMed, the Toronto Institute for Reproductive Medicine, is seeking a Reproductive Endocrinologist to join our world class medical team. As one of the centers selected by Ministry of Health and Long Term Care to provide funded fertility services to patients of Ontario, this is an opportunity for an established REI, or one new to the field, to expand their practice and expertise in the area of Reproductive Medicine. In addition, there is an opening for partnership to one of the premiere IVF centers in Canada.

The candidate will be proficient in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART), diagnose and treat patients experiencing infertility, and may participate in on-going clinical research. This physician will provide care in a clinical and surgical environment (with two operating theatres on-site) while working alongside the IVF laboratory and Andrology laboratory.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Complete initial consultations / assessments with referred patients to the clinic.
  • Prescribe appropriate in-house testing of both male & female patients in determining potential causes of infertility.
  • Recommend appropriate in-house treatment options in follow-up consultations with patients.
  • Complete medical / surgical ART procedures in onsite operating facilities
  • Recognize patient cases that would benefit from complementary therapies such as counseling or acupuncture.
  • Practice medicine in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), the CPSO Out-of-Hospital Premises Guidelines, Health Canada, and the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society.
  • Partake in on-going clinical research programs
  • Partake in association based events (CFAS, ASRM, Rounds, etc.) for continued education in the field of Reproductive Medicine

The position interacts closely with the Director of Embryology, the Director of Andrology, and the Medical Director. In providing optimal case to patients, there is an active collaboration with Patient Services Team (PST), the Nursing Unit (NU), and other technicians providing day-to-day care.

  • Qualifications
  • Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in the province of Ontario.
  • Fellowship (or similar post-graduate training) in reproductive endocrinology.
  • Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • 2-4 years medical/surgical experience in all areas of Reproductive Medicine / ART.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
  • Full understanding of key procedures: In-Vitro Fertilization, ICSI, Ovarian Stimulation
  • Familiarity with third-party reproduction (egg donation & surrogacy)
  • Strong ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with patients.
  • A “team player” committed to and promoting the values of the clinic.

  • Strong command of the English language

The Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine is located 10kms from Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. PCRM is a full service IVF centre, offering CCS, egg freezing, sperm extraction as well as IVF and ICSI. We are actively seeking both an ICSI trained Embryologist and a trained Andrologist to join our friendly, dynamic team.

Our ideal Embryology candidate will be fully trained in all daily IVF lab procedures, including embryo and oocyte vitrification, and the ability to perform embryo biopsies would be an asset. Our ideal Andrology candidate will be able to perform semen analyses, IUIs and process extracted sperm samples.

A state-of-the-art, fully servicing IVF clinic, CCRM Toronto/ Hannam Fertility Centre (, located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a full-time experienced Andrologist and a part-time Andrologist to join our growing team of nurses, physicians, embryologists and support staff. CCRM Toronto is an extension of the world renowned Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM) which includes multiple physicians utilizing the same technology and research to achieve leading patient outcomes and care.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in animal or biological sciences (andrology related fields preferred) from an accredited academic institution with 3+ years of experience in a clinical andrology laboratory. The candidate should be familiar with laboratory QC/QA programs and demonstrate knowledge in Canadian semen regulations with the AHR Act, Health Canada and WHO standards. Superior communication, strong leadership skills, precise attention to detail, and professional attitude are essential for this position.

As a experienced (senior level) Andrologist you will be expected to:

  • Perform all standard andrology procedures, including but not limited to semen assessment, sperm preparation for IUI/TDI, sperm freezing and thawing
  • Maintain and implement laboratory QC/QA standards by working closely with the laboratory team, upkeep the supplies/consumables inventory
  • Ensure lab is performing in accordance with all applicable ART industry laws and guidelines
  • Participate in research projects
  • Train new staff as required
  • Report to the Laboratory Director
  • Participate equally in the weekend/holiday and on-call rotation

Procrea Fertility is a growing company based across Canada, specialized in fertility and genetic, freezing and storing sperm, surgery and endoscopy. We are recruiting a casual/part-time Andrology / Phlebotomy Technician to start immediately at our Newmarket location. The candidate will be required to work weekend and holiday rotations. Reporting to the Lab Supervisor and Scientific Director, the Andrology / Phlebotomy Technician will work autonomously carrying out routine laboratory procedures and other tasks:

  • Performing phlebotomy and sperm washes
  • Running blood analyzer
  • Performing specialized diagnostic testing
  • Preparating the IUI
  • Analysing the semen
  • Maintaining laboratory QC, inventory, cleanliness, stocking and ordering
  • Maintaining cryopreservation tanks and inventory
  • Updating files
  • Assisting Physician, Nurse and other collegues outside the lab, if required
  • Assisting with preparation of quarterly reports and participate on appropriate committees
