Pre-Conference Symposium

Join us on September 16 at the BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta for the Pre-Conference Symposium, an exclusive day of focused learning, expert insights, and peer connection ahead of the 72nd Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society Annual Meeting. The program includes four specialized sessions designed to support clinical excellence, collaborative discussion, and practical application across key areas of practice.

Light breakfast will be offered from 8:00–9:00 AM, and lunch will be served from 12:00–1:00 PM.


Program Overview

The Pre-Conference Symposium features four concurrent workshops and special interest group sessions throughout the day. Each session is designed to provide members with an opportunity to engage deeply with current topics, share expertise, and connect with colleagues in a focused setting.

  • NSIG/CSIG Workshop

This full-day joint workshop brings together the NSIG and CSIG communities for a comprehensive program of learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Participants will explore key developments, clinical insights, and evolving best practices across specialty areas. The day is structured to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, deeper understanding, and practical application in clinical and research contexts.

  • ART Lab SIG Workshop

This interactive half-day workshop brings together members of the ART Lab Special Interest Group to explore emerging practices, innovations, and collaborative approaches within the field. Participants will engage in hands-on learning, peer discussion, and practical skill-building designed to translate directly into clinical and research settings. Expect an energizing session focused on advancing excellence and sharing expertise within the ART community.

  • 2SLGBTQ+ SIG Workshop

This half-day workshop brings together members of the 2SLGBTQ+ Special Interest Group to foster inclusive dialogue, shared learning, and professional connection. Participants will explore key issues impacting 2SLGBTQ+ communities in healthcare and related fields, with a focus on equity, culturally responsive practice, and advocacy. Through interactive discussion and collaboration, this session creates a supportive space for knowledge exchange and community-building.

  • Leadership & Management SIG Workshop

Designed for current and emerging leaders, this workshop focuses on strengthening leadership capacity and management skills in healthcare environments. Through case-based discussion, practical frameworks, and peer exchange, attendees will explore strategies for effective team leadership, decision-making, and organizational impact. This session offers valuable tools for navigating today’s complex healthcare systems with confidence.
