York University Certificate in Leadership of Assisted Reproduction in Clinical Settings

This formal leadership program offered through York University School of Health Leadership is a rare and unique opportunity to develop practical leadership skills in the context of ART among colleagues working in the field. This certificate course addresses specific workplace challenges including:

Does York University offer a payment plan to assist with the Leadership program?

Are there any discounts which can be applied to the Leadership program?

A $200 early bird discount is available to those who register before April 30th.

Are there any Funding or Grants available?

Federal and Provincial Training Grants Available
Grant programs renew on April 1, 2018. Those interested in this course are encouraged to apply and obtain financial support early. Last year grants were exhausted by the time we launched the program. It is one reason we extended the start date of the program. York University can guide you in applying for grants. Who Should Attend?

Individuals in leadership positions within the clinical services setting, with either clinical or non-clinical training/education

What You Will Learn?

You will acquire and practice core skills through interactive modules, mentored simulations, and action learning projects, in order to demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Understanding and managing diverse/conflicting interests and ongoing changes in the context of the clinical workplace and the industry
  • Communication skills to promote and support a culture of trust and respect, recognition, transparency with clients and families, staff, peers, management, owners and other relevant stakeholders
  • Critical thinking in approaching challenges and opportunities in a complex and ambiguous environment; promoting comfort with uncertainty and change
  • Reflection, self-awareness and perception as a communication and leadership tool in this clinical workplace context
  • Effecting change in a collaborative, complex environment through multi-stakeholder engagement
  • Building and maintaining a competitive advantage through leadership
Note: Demonstration of competency is expected through mentored simulation, in-class projects, journals, class participation, discussion with faculty, and the action learning project. Offered jointly by Health Leadership & Learning Network at York University and the CFAS. This program is non-degree and non-credit professional education and does not confer a grade or professional designation. York University will issue a certificate of completion.
