Annual performance reviews are often viewed as a burden. They are time consuming for managers and employees do not necessarily find them relevant to what they do.

However, an effective employee performance system is arguably the most important management tool for any organization. The presenter will talk about how to make the process more meaningful to both employer and employee.

By the end of the presentation, participants should have a better understanding of how to:

1. design a performance management system that aligns employees with organizational goals;
2. set clear and consistent expectations for employees;
3. use performance interviews as a means to engage and retain employees.
Speaker Biography

Mark Evans completed undergraduate degrees in Literature and Education at McGill University and obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Ottawa. He joined the Ottawa Fertility Centre in April 2006 as its General Manager.

Mr. Evans has over 10 years experience in human resources management.
