National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
September 30, 2021
Dear CFAS Members:
The Canadian government has recently passed legislation to mark September 30th as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a federal statutory holiday.
This day provides an opportunity for all Canadians to recognize and commemorate a profound loss in our history. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities.
Please join the CFAS in honouring this day with sincere solemnity and reflection.
Sincerely,
Goldi Gill, Executive Director
The CFAS Board of Directors
