Get Involved with CFAS

At CFAS, membership is a core value, and we prioritize creating opportunities for our members to actively contribute to the success and growth of the Society. By engaging with CFAS, members play a vital role in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and advancing the field. CFAS offers a range of opportunities for members to become involved in both leadership and educational activities throughout the year.

Ways to Get Involved:

  1. Volunteer at the CFAS Annual Meeting: As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to engage directly with fellow members, assist with event logistics, help with registration, and guide attendees to various meeting rooms and sessions.

  2. Host an Online Webinar: Share your expertise by hosting an online webinar. This is a great way to provide valuable insights and information to other members and expand your professional presence.

  3. Join a Special Interest Group (SIG): SIGs are the perfect platform for networking, peer support, and educational exchange. Whether you're interested in a specific topic or wish to collaborate on initiatives, SIGs provide an inclusive and interactive space for growth.

  4. Participate in Member-Led Workshops or Roundtables: CFAS regularly hosts workshops and roundtables where members can present or contribute ideas on emerging trends, research, and best practices in the field. These events are a fantastic way to learn, discuss, and influence future initiatives.

  5. Contribute to CFAS Publications: Members are encouraged to contribute articles, research, or case studies for publication in CFAS newsletters, journals, or other media. Sharing your work helps raise your professional profile and enriches the community with fresh perspectives.

  6. Mentor a New Member: Experienced members can participate in CFAS' mentorship program by offering guidance and advice to newcomers, helping them navigate the Society’s resources and develop their careers.

  7. Serve on a Committee or Working Group: Take on a leadership role by joining one of CFAS' committees or working group. These teams focus on specific projects and initiatives, including event planning, advocacy efforts, certification and membership engagement.

  8. Network with Industry Professionals: Attend CFAS’ networking events or engage with industry leaders at conferences and symposia to build relationships, share knowledge, and collaborate on new opportunities.
