Emily McIntosh - Chief Executive Officer

As an energetic leader who works to build resilient and diverse teams, Emily McIntosh is driven by a passion to make communities and families stronger. Emily has worked extensively in the non-for-profit sector working with various government Ministries, the private-sector and educational institutions throughout her career.

Emily has a unique professional background that draws from international development experience in Central Asia and Tanzania, as well as more localized community development in her previous role as Executive Director of CONTACT Community Services, a multifaceted regional social service agency. Emily also held the inaugural position of Sustainability Manager at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, one of Canada’s largest sporting events, executing the pan-event portfolio in line with International and Canadian standards, securing the ‘Sustainability Event of the Year Award’ at the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance Prestige Awards.

Her breath of professional experience has laid a strong foundation for successful execution of governance best practices, government relations, fund development, as well extensive and diverse stakeholder engagement. Emily holds a deep appreciation for professional development and continuous learning as it relates to the rapidly changing field of Assisted Reproductive Technology.  A generalist by education, Emily is seasoned in bringing together various stakeholders to support a shared mission. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Calgary and an undergraduate degree from Queen's University in Development Studies and Sociology.

Lorinda Jakubonis - Administrative AssistantCFAS_TEAM/Lorinda.jpeg

Graduating from the Paralegal Technologies field in 2000, our resident jack of all trades Lorinda has had an interesting career in a variety of different fields from administration, to ground transport, to event planning. She has spent the last 13 years at various positions within the Royal Victoria Hospital’s Ob/Gyn dept and MUHC Reproductive Center with the last five as admin assistant to the embryology department. Making the jump from clinical and patient care to helping the professionals in the field is a welcome change!

 

 

Tanya Thibault  - Communications Coordinator

With over eight years of experience as a customer relations specialist, she has honed her skills in effective communication and relationship-building. As a detail-oriented professional, she thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating a strong work ethic and unwavering determination in every project. Known as a social butterfly, she excels at connecting with others and fostering positive interactions within the community. Tanya studied health and exercise science, with a focus on anatomy, kinesiology and applied physiology throughout her educational journey, developing a deep appreciation for the distinct efforts of scientific advancement in healthcare. Driven by her passion for making a meaningful change, she is committed to facilitating communication between professionals, ensuring the most current information is at the forefront of everyone’s inbox.

Melissa graduated from Lasalle College with an AEC in Event Planning and has further specialized with a WPIC certification in Wedding Planning. She is a skilled event coordinator with over two years of experience in planning and executing a wide range of events. She brings a strong foundation in event management, honed through various roles where she developed her expertise in organizing, coordinating, and delivering successful events. With a background in customer service and leadership, she is dedicated to creating impactful, seamless experiences with meticulous attention to detail.

Melissa Silver - Bookkeeper

Melissa graduated from McGill University with a Bachelors in Commerce, specialization operations management. She then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Accounting at McGill University and is a UFE candidate.  She has held various controller roles and done work in many different sectors including non for profits. In her free time, Melissa loves spending time and doing activities with her children.
