Job Description / Duties

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs and assess ultrasound examinations (Transabdominal and Transvaginal) for infertility patients and 1st trimester pregnancy evaluation.
• Assisting with ultrasound guided procedures including: Sonohysterogram, Tubal Patency, Ovum Retrieval, Embryo Transfer, D & C, Cyst aspiration, Hysteroscopy, Etc.
• Provides optimum patient-centered care and demonstrates a professional manner in the work setting.
• Reports, reviews, and records findings of ultrasound scans to provide accurate patients diagnosis
• Consults with physicians as needed about ultrasounds results
• Operates and provides continuous maintenance of ultrasound equipment via participation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance tests.
• Actively participates in team building concepts, and development of departmental goals
• Must be able to work independently without supervision.

Qualifications / Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Active member of the Sonography Canada and or ARDMS and CMRTO
• Must be certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Demonstrates commitment to patient-centered care and customer service
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills (verbal/written) and organizational skills
• Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively and accurately
• Ability to meet patient and staff needs in an effect manner
• Ability to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective manner
• Demonstrates commitment to meet and understand the Mission and Values of The CReATe Fertility Centre
• Commitment to meet the goals and objectives of the department
• Must be flexible, punctual and have an excellent attendance record
• Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner.

Additional Information

HOURS:
• Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00PM
• Scheduled weekends and holidays

Salary: Negoiable
