Job Description / Duties

Required technical skills:
Safe, appropriate and careful handling of gametes for IVF/ICSI.
Work effectively under supervision.
Understands and practices laboratory aseptic techniques, universal precautions and privacy policy.
Sperm preparation and sperm cryopreservation as per WHO Standards/SOPs.
Preparation, manipulation and cryopreservation of microsurgical sperm/tissue biopsies.
Oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer.
Assessment of fertilization and embryo/blastocyst development.
Oocyte and embryo/blastocyst vitrification and warming.
Oocyte denuding and insemination using ICSI or conventional IVF.
Assisted hatching, blastocyst biopsy/PGT, sample preparation and reporting.
Proper quality control monitoring, use of electronic witnessing system and maintenance of equipment.
Use of EMR and data bases for maintenance of statistics and results.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Educational requirements:
Master or Bachelor of Science degree or Technical Laboratory degree in a related field (Biology, Chemistry, Laboratory Science, Animal Science) from an accredited institution or
CFAS certification preferred but not necessary.
Additional Requirements
Ability to work and communicate effectively with lab team, clinical team and patients.
Attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to work effectively and collaboratively in interdisciplinary team in a dynamic and busy lab environment.
