Job Description / Duties
Responsibilities include:
Performing day-to-day Andrology laboratory procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic andrology procedures including semen analysis, sperm washes for intrauterine insemination (IUI) / In vitro fertilization (IVF), trial wash, semen cryopreservation/thaw, and preparation of donor specimens for donor insemination.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, both provincial and federal
Maintaining accurate records and reporting results to physicians and patients, according to the policies and protocols at Oasis Fertility Centre
Providing training and mentoring to junior staff
Qualifications / Required Skills
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in biology or the biological sciences from an accredited university.
Copies of degrees, transcripts, and references for personnel files.
Adequate computer skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge in eIVF, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Understanding the Internet is necessary.
Complete proficiency in andrology procedures without serious incidents
Preference is given if certified and fully accredited by the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society in andrology.

The Andrologist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the highest standards of laboratory practice are maintained. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Andrology, including experience in diagnostic and therapeutic andrology procedures including semen analysis, sperm washes for intrauterine insemination (IUI) / In vitro fertilization (IVF), trial wash, semen cryopreservation/thaw, and preparation of donor specimens for donor insemination. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills and a passion for helping couples achieve their dreams of starting a family.
