Job Description / Duties
We are seeking a skilled embryologist to join our team. The embryologist participates as an important member on a multidisciplinary team and collaborates with other professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient focused care.
This position is full time and includes weekend and holiday rotation as needed. Standard clinic hours are 7:00am-3:00pm.
Candidates must be skilled in and be able to work independently on standard Embryology tasks including:
- Charting and documentation
- Manipulation and assessment of gametes
- Oocyte retrievals and preparation of semen for insemination
- Embryo thawing and transfer
- QA/QC
- Participation in continuing education (e.g. journal clubs)
- Compliance with all Clinic policies and SOPs
- Exercises all required safety protocols
- Proficient in EMR and Microsoft office suite
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills, adapts to a fast paced environment
- Excels in a team environment and has excellent interpersonal communication
Advanced skills are an asset, but training will be provided if needed:
- ICSI
- PGT biopsy
- Assisted Hatching
- Utilization of PESA/TESE sperm samples
Qualifications / Required Skills
- A minimum of a BSc in a health related discipline (e.g. biological science, reproductive biology, animal science); an MSc or PhD is referred.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
- A minimum of 2 years related experience
- A CFAS Certified embryologist is an asset, or willing to obtain
