Job Description / Duties

Embryology Duties:
• Conduct laboratory testing and quality assurance.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and record-keeping.
• Prepare and manage laboratory media.
• Perform media quality control procedures.
• Conduct fertilization checks and grade embryos.
• Manage embryo culture and extended culture processes.
• Operate and maintain Embryoscope systems.

Andrology Duties:
• Perform semen analysis.
• Prepare sperm samples for IUI and ICSI procedures.
• Handle donor sperm preparation for IUI and IVF.
• Conduct semen cryopreservation.
• Thaw cryopreserved sperm for clinical use.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Education and Training:
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or masters degree (MSc) in Biology, Microbiology, or Biological Sciences from an accredited university.

Experience:
• Previous laboratory experience (minimum 1 year).

Required Skills:
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Professional and compassionate communication skills, especially on sensitive medical topics.
• Friendly demeanor to provide reassurance to patients and effectively diffuse difficult situations.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and an ability to effectively communicate results to patients in a compassionate and friendly manner.
• Physical ability to lift and carry supplies up to 50 lbs.

This position is Full-Time, permanent and requires weekend/holiday rotation.
