Happy Pride Month!

On behalf of CFAS, we would like to wish our members a Happy Pride Month. Social change is often built on pain and outrage and Pride has roots in the struggle for and eventual celebration of LGBTQI2S rights. 

 

Thank you to all advocates, allies and champions for equity, diversity and inclusion. Thank you for helping LGBTQI2S people build their families. CFAS celebrates the positive and progressive changes that have been made to LGBTQI2S parentage rights in some provinces and we continue to advocate for non-heteronormative and non-cisnormative family building rights across the country.

 

​While COVID-19 is leading to many cancelled events and celebrations, it is important to remember that Pride is not cancelled! Pride festivities have been reimagined instead and organizations across Canada are finding ways to bring #PrideInside to reflect, resist, celebrate and educate.
