Job Description / Duties

Lab Technician Responsibilities:
• Oocyte searching and grading for maturation.
• Culture dish preparation
• Semen preparation for In Vitro Fertilization
• Fertilization of oocytes
• Embryo stripping and culture
• Assist in maintaining semen and embryo inventory.
• Embryo grading and freezing
• Semen extension and analysis
• Semen packaging and cryopreservation
• Final packing of frozen semen
• Maintain accurate embryo production reports
• Record Keeping and data entry
• Assist in quality control and lab cleanliness

Qualifications / Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in animal science, biology or related field or veterinary technician
• Very strong attention to detail
• Ability to work at a microscope for long periods of time
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS excel, email)
• Effective communication skills

Salary: $20-35 per Hour
