Job Description / Duties

Procreate Fertility Center is seeking a full-time Junior Embryologist to join our rapidly growing practice. This is a dream career opportunity for the motivated candidate to join a dynamic team and bring world-class fertility care to the Hampton Roads region of Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide embryology services during in-vitro fertilization cycles
• Preparation of oocytes for insemination
• Assessment of fertilization and development of embryos
• Grading/staging of embryos
• Vitrification and thawing of embryos, oocytes
• Preparation of embryos for transfer
• Quality control of laboratory procedures and equipment
• Standard lab documentation per CLIA, JCAHO, and FDA regulations
• Assist with periodic review and update of lab protocol
• Documentation of procedures and results in EHR
• Communication with patients regarding protocols and results
• Coordination of transfers of embryos, oocytes, and sperm between clinics
• Clean and maintain lab work area, equipment, and instruments according to regulations

Qualifications / Required Skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Biological Sciences
• Training and proven competency in ART procedures
• Ability to work weekend or holiday hours, based on cycle dates
• Experience using electronic health records
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Proficiency in MS Office or equivalent
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility, Adaptability
• A strong desire to learn and develop skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to document and analyze statistical data regarding cycle outcomes

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• BS or higher in Reproductive Science or Embryology
• 1+ years of experience in embryology
