Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Medical Director and the Chief Operating Officer, the Nurse Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to three nursing team groups: the OR team, Primary Care team and the Transition Team. The role will be to champion, drive accountability and innovation for care & wellness within all groups.
This role will provide direct guidance and support to both experienced RN / RPN’s and RN / RPN’s in training. The Nurse Manager will provide quality assurance for all care programs, advance the strategic plan of the business in a collaborative nature to the nursing teams.
The Nurse Manager will also work closely with the Senior Management team to collaboratively engage in advancing the clinical direction and business implementation to ensure the highest level of care and wellbeing.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Act independently as a Nurse Manager at TRIO Fertility
2. Ensure that staff is properly trained and conducts training for staff who need additional guidance
3. Address any personnel challenges or issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment
4. Schedule staff nurses, including vacation and weekend coverage.
5. Work with COO and Medical Director to create and modify policy and procedures.
6. Apply evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards to all activities at TRIO
7. Collaborate with Senior Management, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders to develop implement and evaluate our programs and service offerings
8. Review Patient and staff data on a regular basis to measure the effectiveness of patient care and ensure procedures are followed
9. Chair nursing meetings and clinical care discussions within a scheduled program
Duties
• Work independently and with COO and Leadership team to drive the vision of TRIO’s unique patient experience
• Nurse scheduling.
• Recording of vacation and sick time.
• Management of the Clinical Nursing unit - HR
• Supervise and be accountable for the maintenance of medication protocols.
• Create and update policies and procedures
