Job Description / Duties
Thriving Fertility clinic in Markham has an opening for a Registered Nurse.
Hours are 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (or as required) Monday- Friday.
Weekend work and evening Cycle Monitoring Help Phone Line on a rotation basis.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
>Communicates, counsels, educates, and supports fertility patients throughout their program.
>Provides education to individual patients re: protocols, medications, consents, and payment schedules.
>Schedules all aspects of fertility treatments by liaising between the patients and other applicable areas within the clinic.
>Assists patients in understanding the emotional and medical implications of fertility treatment.
>Accurately dispenses medications.
>Collaborate with other nursing staff to ensure weekend coverage for cycle monitoring.
>Collaborates with other nursing staff to ensure nightly coverage of the cycle monitoring help line during the specified hours.
>Monitors patient’s recovery after an egg retrieval as required.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Musts:
>Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
>Current CPR/BLS
>Recent experience in IV/venipuncture and/or procedure room/ OR scrubbing
>Active standing with the CNO and RNAOS
>Strong communication skills – verbal and written
Preferred:
>Training and/or experience in the field of infertility and/or Woman’s Health
>Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain)
>Excellent computer skills, comfortable with working with an EMR
>Fluent in both English and Mandarin
