Job Description / Duties

• Complete initial consultations / assessments with referred patients to the clinic.
• Prescribe appropriate in-house testing of both male & female patients in determining potential causes of infertility.
• Recommend appropriate in-house treatment options in follow-up consultations with patients.
• Complete medical / surgical ART procedures in onsite operating facilities
• Recognize patient cases that would benefit from complementary therapies such as counseling or acupuncture.
• Practice medicine in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), the CPSO Out-of-Hospital Premises Guidelines, Health Canada, and the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society.
• Partake in on-going clinical research programs
• Partake in association based events (CFAS, ASRM, Rounds, etc.) for continued education in the field of Reproductive Medicine

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in the province of Ontario.
• Fellowship (or similar post-graduate training) in reproductive endocrinology.
• Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• 2-4 years medical/surgical experience in all areas of Reproductive Medicine / ART.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified
• Full understanding of key procedures: In-Vitro Fertilization, ICSI, Ovarian Stimulation
• Familiarity with third-party reproduction (egg donation & surrogacy)
• Strong ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with patients.
• A “team player” committed to and promoting the values of the clinic.
• Commitment to professional practice and personal development
• Strong command of the English language

Additional Information

The position interacts closely with the Director of Embryology, the Director of Andrology, and the Medical Director. In providing optimal case to patients, there is an active collaboration with Patient Services Team (PST), the Nursing Unit (NU), and other technicians providing day-to-day care.

Salary: Commemsurate with experience.
